#Part4CM Advantages of electric vehicles over gasoline cars

2022.07.06

The future of electric vehicles is obvious and inevitable. In the next few years, the variety of models will increase, and they will fill the roads all over the world, making driving comfortable for the driver and safe for the environment. Sales growth and model improvements will eliminate the existing disadvantages of electric cars, making these vehicles perfect in terms of performance, dynamic and speed properties. But the growth in the number of electric vehicles must be accompanied by the development of charging station infrastructure.

That is why, as part of the Romania-Ukraine Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project, an electric vehicle charging station with two charging points will be set up in Ivano-Frankivsk. The station will be equipped with solar panels and photovoltaics. Electric vehicles have a number of undeniable advantages that make them increasingly popular every year. Maintenance of such vehicles costs less than the cost of operating and maintaining gasoline or diesel cars. Electricity is cheaper than other types of fuel, and the absence of complex mechanisms, consumables and spare parts eliminates frequent breakdowns and the need for replacement. Structural simplicity minimizes the amount of money required to maintain an electric vehicle.

Of course, each electric car requires a different amount of electricity, but in any case, its use will be more profitable than using a gasoline car. An extremely important advantage of electric vehicles is their environmental friendliness. This has become one of the main reasons why this type of transportation has become very popular all over the world. The absence of emissions can effectively reduce the negative impact on the environment and nature.

The RO-UA Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project is funded by the European Union through the European Neighborhood Instrument and co-financed by the countries participating in the ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Program.
