#Part4CM The RO-UA Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project aims to disseminate information on reducing the negative impact of various factors on the environment
The RO-UA Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project aims to disseminate information on reducing the negative impact of various factors on the environment. Decarbonization of industry is one of the ways to achieve this goal. Ukraine has joined the US initiative Net Zero World, which will help it decarbonize its economy.
The initiative involves 17 laboratories of the U.S. Department of Energy, which aims to help countries in need "achieve ambitious climate goals." In particular, Ukraine, as a participating state, will have access to the developments of these scientific laboratories for the possible implementation of pilot decarbonization projects. In total, the United States will provide technical, diplomatic, and financial assistance to six countries in decarbonization. Benefits of participating in the Net Zero World initiative
1. Continuous access to expert assistance from US government technical, research and investment agencies and national laboratories.
2. Financial support for domestic technical institutions.
3. In-depth cooperation on technical and investment plans and policies, pilot technologies, infrastructure modernization, investment partnerships, workforce development, and other measures to achieve sustainable decarbonization of the energy system. Ukraine is an equal partner in the initiative, which offers in-depth cooperation in the nuclear energy sector to help provide Europe with affordable, carbon-free energy.
The RO-UA Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project is funded by the European Union through the European Neighborhood Instrument and co-financed by the countries participating in the ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Program.
