#REBTES Digital opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses – insights from the Online Buyer School

2026.05.26

As part of the project “Development of Regional Ecosystems for Business Transfer of Small and Medium Enterprises (REBTES)”, implemented under the Interreg Europe programme, we continue to discover successful initiatives that help businesses adapt to modern challenges and take advantage of opportunities offered by the digital economy.

One of these practices is the Online Buyer School – an educational initiative aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of e-commerce and digital sales. The project helps entrepreneurs gain the knowledge and skills needed to effectively work with online trade, digital platforms, and modern sales channels.

The initiative was created to help companies better understand market needs, establish cooperation with buyers, and confidently operate in a digital environment. Participants of the programme have the opportunity to receive training in online marketing, brand development, sales management, working with marketplaces, and building effective communication with customers.

A key feature of this practice is the combination of theoretical knowledge with practical tools and real-life case studies. This allows entrepreneurs not only to improve their digital competencies, but also to increase business competitiveness, expand sales markets, and identify new development opportunities.

The Online Buyer School demonstrates how important digital skills and access to modern educational tools are for small and medium-sized enterprises today. Such initiatives contribute to the development of an innovative business environment, support entrepreneurs in the process of digital transformation, and help create stronger and more resilient regional economies.
