#REBTES Ivano-Frankivsk has initiated dialogue with stakeholders
On 26 August 2025, the first meeting with stakeholders of the interregional cooperation project"REBTES – Developing Regional SME Business Transfer Ecosystems" was held in Ivano-Frankivsk implemented within the Interreg Europe programme.
The event brought together representatives of city authorities, business, educational and scientific institutions, public organisations and other interested parties.
The meeting was opened by Ihor Popadiuk, Director of the Department of Investment Policy, Projects, International Relations, Tourism and Promotion of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of establishing transparent and effective mechanisms for transferring businesses from one owner to another, which will preserve jobs and support the development of SMEs in the community. He also shared the best practices of partners and outlined future plans for the implementation of the project in Ivano-Frankivsk.
An important highlight was the welcome speech and presentation on business transfer experience in Finland by project manager Anmari Viljamaa from Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. She spoke about models of support for entrepreneurs that are successful in Finland and could serve as a basis for adaptation to Ukrainian realities.
Lidiia Cherevko, Head of the Project Implementation Office of the Department, presented the goals and objectives of the REBTES project, in particular the importance of exchange of experience between participating countries, implementation of innovations and creation of a strategy for sustainable development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the community.
The meeting participants discussed possible changes to the Comprehensive Programme for Promoting Investment in the Economy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Community for 2021–2025. During the discussion, they shared their experiences, views on challenges and proposals for tools that would make the business environment more competitive and sustainable.
