#REBTES European Experience in Business Support: Results of the Third Stakeholder Meeting.

2026.06.19

On June 18, 2026, the third stakeholder meeting took place in Ivano-Frankivsk as part of the “Development of Regional Ecosystems for Business Transfer of Small and Medium Enterprises (REBTES)”, implemented under the Interreg Europe programme.

The event served as a platform to discuss current challenges and opportunities for SME development, as well as issues related to transferring businesses to the next generation of owners. The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies, the business community, educational institutions, and the expert community, who are working together to create a supportive ecosystem for the sustainable development of entrepreneurship in the city.

Participants learned about best European practices, particularly the experience of the city of Utrecht (Netherlands) regarding the operation of a Entrepreneur Central — a comprehensive tool for supporting entrepreneurs at various stages of business development. The meeting also addressed mechanisms for transferring businesses to new owners, ensuring business continuity, and opportunities for implementing successful European solutions in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Special attention was given to the role of collaboration between businesses, universities, and government agencies in shaping a modern entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as to tools for supporting SMEs.

The practical part of the meeting focused on the use of AI tools in business succession. Participants explored the possibilities of applying modern digital technologies to analyze financial indicators, assess risks, automate business processes, and support managerial decision-making. Of particular interest was the discussion on how AI can help entrepreneurs plan their companies’ growth more effectively and prepare for business succession.

The meeting served as an important platform for exchanging experiences, generating new ideas, and developing solutions that will promote entrepreneurship and foster an effective business succession ecosystem in Ivano-Frankivsk.
