#SmartTour Second Stakeholders Meeting for the Smart Tour Project in Ivano-Frankivsk
On March 20, the second stakeholders meeting for the “Smart Tourism - Smart Destinations: Accessibility, Sustainability, Digitalization, Cultural Heritage, and Creativity (Smart Tour)” project, implemented under the Interreg Europe program, took place in Ivano-Frankivsk.
During the event, participants reviewed the project’s progress and discussed key approaches to developing smart tourism in the community. Particular attention was paid to presentations of best practices from European partners, including digital solutions to support the tourism industry, city tourism apps, the implementation of chatbots to assist visitors, the development of sustainable mobility, and new approaches to creating tourism products
A separate session focused on discussing local opportunities and challenges: participants shared their own experiences, ideas, and proposals for implementing innovative solutions in the tourism sector of Ivano-Frankivsk. The discussion helped identify potential areas of development that can be integrated into local policies and strategic documents.
The meeting served as an important platform for open dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the formation of a shared vision for tourism development that is accessible, innovative, and focused on the needs of both residents and visitors to the city.
