#SWEM New specialised machinery for clean and safe streets in Ivano-Frankivsk!
As part of the “Sustainable Weather Emergency Management (SWEM)”, implemented with the support of the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 programme in partnership with the Romanian city of Baia Mare, a sand and salt spreader was purchased for the needs of the municipal enterprise ‘Municipal Road Company’.
This specialised winter machinery ensures the even distribution of sand and salt on the road surface, which makes it possible to effectively prevent the formation of ice and increase the grip of wheels on the road. Thanks to this technology, traffic in winter becomes safer and roads are better protected from hazardous weather conditions.
The sand and salt spreader allows for a quick response to sudden changes in weather, ensuring timely treatment of streets and minimising risks for residents and drivers. Its appearance significantly expands the city's capabilities in countering winter challenges and strengthens the emergency response system.
The purchase of this machinery is another important step towards improving sustainability, safety and comfort in Ivano-Frankivsk.
