Government launches a set of measures for energy sustainability

In support of the country's energy sustainability, the government has announced the launch of a number of programs and initiatives aimed at promoting the use of renewable energy sources and modernizing energy infrastructure.

Key measures:

1. Loans for citizens at 0%:

  • Maximum amount: up to UAH 480 thousand.
  • Term: up to 10 years.
  • Purpose: Installation of solar and wind power plants, as well as energy storage systems

2. Concessional loans for small and medium-sized businesses:

  • Maximum amount: up to UAH 150 million.
  • Term: up to 10 years.
  • Interest rate: 5-7-9% per annum for gas-fired power generation.
  • Special conditions: in the areas near the combat zone, the rate is 1-5% for the first two years.

3. Loans for condominiums and housing cooperatives:

  • Maximum amount: up to UAH 5 million.
  • Purpose: installation of solar stations and heat pumps.
  • The Grindim program compensates 70% of the costs.

4. Loans for large businesses:

  • Term: for 5-7 years.
  • Interest rate: 14-16% per annum.
  • Collateral: equipment.

5. Bills to abolish customs duties and VAT:

  • Purpose: import of energy equipment.
  • Status: submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.

The mechanisms will become fully operational no later than July 25.

These measures are aimed at supporting the economy and increasing the country's energy independence in the face of constant challenges and threats.
