This year, the European Research and Innovation Days are supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) within the framework of the Mayors for Economic Growth initiative.

Mayors for Economic Growth (M4EG) is a joint initiative of the European Union and UNDP to support municipalities in the Eastern Partnership region, including Ukraine.

The initiative aims to help build the capacity of local authorities in key areas related to community development in the current context. The project offers resources, networking and educational opportunities to explore new growth trajectories, improve living standards and employment, and ensure citizen participation in economic, social and cultural processes at the local level.
M4EG was launched in 2017. In Ukraine, it is represented in 20 cities with a total allocation of over $1.2 million.
