Ivano-Frankivsk is one of the most famous economic, cultural and industrial centers of Western Ukraine.
The city area is 83,73 sq. km, the population is more than 250 thousand people.

Ivano-Frankovsk has a distinct competitive advantage that is a high level of education, science and culture of the population. 18% of the residents are the students who study at higher education institutions of I-IV accreditation levels: 5 universities, three of which have national status – The Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, The Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, The Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, 5 institutes and technical schools, 9 vocational schools.
